Join local law enforcement for a fun, free event at the Luter Sports Complex in Smithfield.
This night is when everyone joins together to say NO to crime and to strengthen their bonds within their communities.
In these troubling times across our nation, it is more important than ever before to share in the friendship and solidarity that National Night Out brings, and to show our appreciation for those that have sworn to protect us. As we create community connections, even a brief interaction can change the way people think about themselves, law enforcement, their leaders, and the future.
National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).
National Night Out is designed to:
heighten crime, drug and violence prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood unity and spirit, as well as enhance police - community partnerships;and send a message to criminals, letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Lock your doors, turn on your porch lights, and join your friends and neighbors to show unity to building a safer, more caring community.
