Beginning June 4, St. Luke's will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30am - 5pm. Tours will be offered on the hour, with the first at 10am and last at 4pm.
St. Luke's, also known as The Brick Church, The Old Brick Church, and Historic St. Lukes Church, has enjoyed a long and vibrant history supported by a passionate community. Built in the 17th-century, this National Historic Landmark is located four miles south of Smithfield's Historic District. Explore the grounds of this renowned historic site on a journey through over 400 years of vibrant, American history. St. Luke’s Historic Church Museum, Virginias oldest brick church, now serves the public as a living, breathing symbol of religious freedom with a storied past.
General Admission is $8. Children under 6 offered free admission. Discounts available for seniors, AAA, Military, Educators, and Students. Group Tour rates available. St. Luke's is a Blue Star Museums Participant.
The Old Brick Gift Shop at St. Luke's is designed to highlight unique gifts for loved ones and cherished mementos of your visit at Virginias Oldest Church Building.
Additionally, St. Luke's offers lectures, outdoors recreation and their historic Cemetery.

Weddings and Special Events
The ancient church building is available for the wedding ceremony and the grounds are available for the reception and rehearsal dinner, or other events. Local tent rentals are available.
Safety protocol includes: masks staff, guests, and visitors are required to wear masks], social distancing (All non-same-household guests must remain 6 feet apart), limited capacity (25 maximum for the church building, 4 guests or fewer in the gift shop at any one time), and increased cleaning routines.
St. Luke's current capacity, as of March 16, 2021 is 125 total in the church building. This figure includes guests, vendors, and staff. Normal capacity is 150.
Midsummer Solstice Sale
The Old Brick Gift Shop at St. Luke's Historic Church & Museum will hold its annual Midsummer Solstice Sale beginning tomorrow.
Enjoy varied discounts throughout the gift shop as we mark Midsummer Solstice. Virtually everything is discounted from artwork and housewares to accessories and clothing. Stop by during normal operating hours and explore the selections. See you soon!
