The Old Courthouse of 1750 is located in the historic Town of Smithfield. Originally modeled after the Capitol Building in Colonial Williamsburg, the building is beautifully restored. The Courthouse is available any day or time for group tours with prior notice. It is also available for rental for special occasions.
Virginia's Oldest Church, Historic St. Luke's, is a very rare, 17th-century church building and 100-acre historic site that provides guided tours at the top of each hour, 7-days per week, between February and December. Guided Tours are up to 45-minutes long and begin at the origins of the English Protestant Church and cover the Colonial Virginia religious experience and how it influenced the American ideals of religious freedom and the pursuit of the separation of church and state. Tours conclude with the sharing of three restoration projects and what is taking place today at St. Luke's. The Site also offers tourist information and a Boutique Gift Shop with unique, Historic St. Luke's items.

Located in the 200 block of Main Street in downtown Smithfield and running between Main and Grace Streets, Hayden's Lane was originally the driveway to Hayden Hall, an early girls' school. The garden department of the Woman's Club of Smithfield and the town created a lovely sitting garden and walkway to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Several benches, hand-painted by local young artists grace the walkway. Hayden's Lane is available to rent for special events through the Smithfield Center.
Built by Charles F. Nelms, a local contractor, for his family around 1899 this beautifully restored Victorian beauty features native landscaping, period furniture, and oral histories. The Nelms House is available for rentals for events.
